Behind the Photograph
As a photographer, people often ask me what my favorite image is.
The truth is... it's usually not the technically perfect one.
It's the one that makes me feel something.
Photography isn't just about creating beautiful pictures. It's about freezing a moment that can never happen again. Years from now, the clothes will change. The hairstyles will change. The faces will age. But that photograph? It stays exactly as it was.
Sometimes the most meaningful images aren't taken during a huge milestone. They're the quiet moments... the laugh you didn't know someone captured... the way your child looked at you... the hug from someone who may no longer be here.
Those are the photographs that become priceless.
As someone who photographs families, couples, boudoir sessions, and everyday people, I've learned something important...
People almost always think they're doing a session for today.
