WHY MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY?
During your pregnancy, you shine from the inside out. The growth of new life in your bulging belly gives an unmistakable glow to this special period.
Have your beautiful pregnancy captured in a unique maternity shoot that creates memories for life.
The ideal time for a maternity shoot is usually between 30 and 35 weeks of pregnancy.
Reserve your session well in advance so we can discuss all the details in a timely manner. Consider clothing choices, different backgrounds and even photo compositions.

2. It’s Photoshoot Time! Customized props, locations and outfits all help make your perfect Maternity photo session! We will capture this moment in your life so you can one day share it with your child.
3. Photo shoots by Suzanne Claire Studios take place in our luxury studio in Port Chester, NY. Makeup and hair styling is included and you will have access to use dresses and fabrics by Mii Estilo and Katharina Hakaj Couture, among others, these are all included in the price.
Custom Albums, and Wall Art can also be included in your experience. All materials are shown during your session.
So here’s what you have to do
When to book your maternity photo session? The best time for your maternity session is around 28-34 weeks: your belly is full and round, but you are still comfortable to pose. For expecting mamas with twins (or more), come in earlier, around 26 – 32 weeks, since twins tend to arrive earlier. I have had maternity photo shoots close to delivery day with beautiful results, but I would rather have clients towards the earlier side, where mamas-to-be are feeling their best. However, it is completely up to you at what stage you would like your maternity photos taken.
STUDIO
Advantage: convenience and control, no dependence on the weather and time of the day. Couture maternity dresses are available on the spot
Professional make-up and hair stylist on set
So you feel confident and beautiful during your session!
OUTDOOR
Advantage: the pure beauty of a pregnant woman in an outdoor background is simply amazing! It is something about a mother bringing a new life into the world, and Mother Nature is a super powerful one.
Disadvantages: weather-dependent shooting hours are limited to the golden hour of sunrise or sunset (to avoid harsh shadows). Reschedules can happen and may trigger the rescheduling of other related appointments (professional makeup and hair artists, etc). Be prepared to walk/hike to the location and change outfits outdoors.
