While the word "boudoir" is French for a private dressing room or bedroom, at Suzanne Claire Studios, it represents something much deeper than a location.

Traditionally, these sessions are thought of as "sexy" photo shoots involving lingerie and lace. While we love a sultry look, we define boudoir as a celebration of self-confidence. Whether you are in a delicate bodysuit, your favorite oversized sweater, or a crisp white button-down, a boudoir session is a mirror held up to your own strength and beauty.

What is required of me?

Just your beautiful self! We take care of the rest. Your session includes professional hair and makeup artistry and full posing guidance. You don’t need to know "how to model"—that’s our job. We will coach you through every finger placement and expression to ensure you look and feel incredible.

What if I’m unhappy with my current body?

There is no "perfection requirement" here. We believe beauty isn't a destination you reach once you lose ten pounds or hit a certain age; it is who you are right now. We photograph women of every shape, size, color, and chapter of life.

Reasons to book that have nothing to do with a scale:

• Celebrating a milestone birthday (from 20 to 80+!)

• Marking a new chapter (like a wedding or even a divorce).

• Documenting the miracle of pregnancy or the strength of a postpartum body.

Do I have to get naked?

Absolutely not. Your comfort is our highest priority, and you are always in the driver’s seat. We offer a "Client Closet" filled with beautiful pieces, and we work with many conservative clients who prefer to stay covered.

Sensuality is found in your eyes and your silhouette, not just in bare skin. If you choose to do "implied" nudes (like our signature sheet sets), we keep it classy, artistic, and tasteful. We will never pressure you to go beyond your comfort zone.

I’m nervous about my privacy. Can I keep my photos private?

Of course. Your comfort extends to your digital footprint. While we love sharing the transformations of our clients, we only do so with a signed release. If you prefer to keep your images for your eyes only, or would like to remain anonymous, we completely respect that.

Can I bring a friend to watch?

To maintain an intimate, focused, and "distraction-free" environment, we do not allow onlookers in the studio. We want you to feel completely free to express yourself without feeling watched. Rest assured, you are in a safe, professional, and highly vetted environment.

Should I get a tan before my shoot?

We kindly ask that you skip the tanning bed and the spray tan! Artificial tans can create orange or uneven skin tones that are very difficult to correct in post-processing. Plus, they can damage our studio furniture. We want to capture your natural, glowing skin exactly as it is.

When do I get to see my images?

No long waits here! You will see your images in 7 to 10 days. We prep your gallery, and then you’ll have a dedicated reveal session to select the images and collections you love most.

Is there a minimum investment required?

Yes. Minimum investment is $995. We offer a luxury experience with professional styling and custom retouching, our sessions are designed for those who wish to invest in high-quality heirloom images. We offer various collections and flexible payment plans, which we will discuss in detail during your initial phone consultation.
